Living Waters

While I’m taking a few days off from research and writing to hear from the Lord. In the interim, I am sharing interesting posts from some of the blogs that I personally follow.  This one is entitled Living Waters from Rus Alan.

As the waves are coming in, and the children felt the tug of the current; they ran off not to return in to the water. Then I observed a man standing in the waves; as the whitecaps were moving him, he enjoyed the tug, and stayed in the same position waiting for the next move of the swell. I desired to get deeper, and as I moved further in to the deep; I felt the amazing currents around my feet; I felt as it lifts me up and tug and pulls me in to the ocean. As I looked at the water and around it, I felt an amazing sensation of lightness as well as lightheadedness and vertiginous sensation. I then observed another man running in to it and attempting to catch a wave with his surfboard.

As I was observing and experiencing this awesome and magnificent but gentle power of nature, I realized that the Holy Spirit is the same in His attributes. He is gentle, but powerful. He is not swooping us away, but gently calls on us. All we need to do is run in to Him and jump in to the deep.

Majority of us come close to Him, then run away as we feel His tug. Some of us step in to it, and are content with some of the experiences, while others step in to it up to the waist and are happy with the dizzying and vertiginous experiences. While others run in to Him and jump in to the deep.

He is asking us “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

As I reminisce on my experience today, I would like to encourage you to pay careful attention to the “tugging” and “pulling” of the Holy Spirit in your heart0831151653. He is a Gentleman and does not force you to obey Him. Although, he will quietly ask you, prompt you, tug at your heart, and pull on your spirit to get your attention. Sometimes His “tugs” may be so gentle that you almost miss them. But if you’ll develop your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, He will gently “lead” you exactly where He wants you to go with your life. Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”.

As you look at your own life today, I urge you to make the decision to let the Spirit be your Leader in every area of your life. Let Him take you by the heart and give you a little “tug” and “pull” in the right direction. Then say, “Lord, I sense that You are tugging on my heart, and I’m ready to let You lead me where You want me to go.” Get excited and happy to be in full submission, unconditional surrender to Him, let God be in control! Watch where He leads and see what He does through you, this will later give you a cause for great rejoicing. You’ll be so thankful that you allowed Him to be the undisputed Leader in your life!

“For I will pour out water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants.” Isaiah 44:3

“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:14

“To the one who believes in Me, it is just as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him.’” John 7:38

So run in to Him, be bold in stepping in to Him and enjoy His great love. Jump in to the deep of His living Water, be surrounded by his currents and whitecaps. Be in love with Him.
